Joey Big Tobacco Obituary

Joey Lazz “Baby Joey” Big Tobacco Jr. (Aapa’skoo’ma’pii - Weasel Boy)

May 15, 2006 – March 6, 2024

With great sadness and a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our precious son, brother, cousin, nephew, and dear friend. Joey would’ve graduated in June 2024 from Strathmore High School, he was dedicated to the Lord in 2013 by Apostle Eugene Satterwhite, and he was a prairie chicken dancer. Baby Joey was very humorous, caring, high maintenance, he loved all his family, and had a big heart for everyone. During the summer he loved fishing, swimming at the river, going to stampede with his sisters, and visiting with friends. Baby Joey was very excited to get his own place in Calgary when he turned 18. He loved horror movies and had his favorites such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and loved playing games on his PS5, specifically Dead by Daylight. He also loved his retro style music and had an avid record collection.

He leaves behind his loving parents Joey Sr. and Brandi Big Tobacco.  Siblings Santia Bear Chief, Landon (Kiya) Bear Chief, Nova Chaz Dale Big Tobacco, and Kasey-Rae Maguire. He is survived by his grandmothers Alvina Bear Chief, Eve Yellow Old Woman, Great Grandma Christine Little Chief, Debbie Pederson, Melvina (Clifford) Healy, Claudia (Joe) Patrick, Jocelyn (Troy) Big Tobacco. His uncles Craig (Dallas) Bear Chief, Theo (Trisha) Maguire, Mark Big Tobacco, Leslie Running Rabbit, Tad Big Snake, Brett (Penny) Davidson. His aunties Ashley Brass, and Shannon (Sam) Bear Chief, and numerous Aunts and Uncles and Cousins from the Bear Chief, Big Tobacco, Yellow Old Woman families, and Drunken Chief families.

He is predeceased by grandmother Francine Big Tobacco, grandfather Ivan McMaster, great grandparents Edna Fox & Francis Big Tobacco, grandfather Charlie Wayne Davidson, grandfather Theodore Jr (Teddy) Drunken Chief and great grandparents Theodore Sr and Barbara Drunken Chief and Walker and Martha Bear Chief, Uncle William Spring Chief. Great aunts and uncles, too numerous to name.
