BLACK, Evan “Kaanaisskiinaa”- November 12, 1988- March 11, 2024

 We, the family of Evan Black, sorrowfully announce his passing on march 11, 2024. Evan was endearingly called Evian by the Big Snake girls, with whom he spent some of his summers growing up. Evan was always happy to see his aunts and uncles and made a point to remind his younger cousins to always greet them. Evan was a gentle giant and we will remember his laughter and his jokes and most of all his bear hugs. Evan accomplished many things in his life that he was proud of and eager to share with his family. His greatest joy came from his children Jayah Black, Adien Black and Lyle Black. Evan's family will ensure that his children are well taken care of and that we keep his memory alive for them. Evan leaves to mourn, his sisters; Serena Black and Tanya Cutter; special brother Ian; close niece and nephew; Aneesa & Carter. He will be lovingly remembered by his uncle Graham, aunt Karol, and uncle Grant, Maria & Curtis Big Snake and Stephanie Black (White Eagle) and Raylene Healy, as well as his great aunts and unclesl Sally, Eileen, Sheila, Sidney (Melva) Stanley (Roxy), Beatrice, Nora, Elaine, Iris and Rachel First Rider, and his Father; Hector Cutter. Evan is predeceased by his beloved Mom Bettina; siblings Tia, Travis, Trey and by his grandparents; Nelson and Miranda Black; aunts and uncles Dean, Ursula, Calona, Melvina and Jeri. Evan came from a large greater clan, which includes the Backfat’s, Many Guns, Breakers, Poor Eagles, and relatives from Maple Creek, White Eagles, Cutters.
