Connie Rabbit Carrier

Connie Rabbit Carrier Issapa’kii (Crow Woman), of Siksika Nation, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the South Health Campus Hospital, Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on February 6, 1938, and resided in Siksika Nation all her life. She met the love of her life Michael Rabbit Carrier in 1954 and together they were happily married for 70 years raising 4 boys and 3 girls. They also had numerous grand/great children and many adapted Forster children. I must not forget her companion and best friend her cat “Whisky.”

 She will be sadly missed by her Sons: Fred (Pam), Keith, Elroy (Lenora), Wayne Turning Robe (Trina), Merle Good Eye, Dallas (Katie) Young Pine, Robin Big Snake, Woodrow Olds, and beloved Daughters: Rhoda (Leonard), Ann (Clement), Maureen, Anita Eagle Bear (Randy), Laverna McMaster (Wayne), Yolanda (Camron) Crow Child, Leita Peace Maker, she also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren Auntie: Eve Yellow Old Woman Brother: Marvin Maguire (Sandy) Sisters: Liz Scout, Lydia Brass, Emily nee Buffalo (Fred) Stoyka, Marge nee Buffalo (Joe) Anderson, Sisters-in-law: Alexandria Cat Face, Rosalyn Creighton, Vivian Running Rabbit, Ina Maguire, Donna Running Rabbit Brothers-in-law: Victor Star Light, Clayton (Joan) Many Gun, Gerald (Laura) Sitting Eagle.  

Mom was close to all her First Cousins, Extended Relatives, Nephews, and Nieces far too numerous to mention.
