With heavy hearts we announce our beloved Marlene who has gone to be with our Lord in heaven. Marlene will always be remembered for the love and care she showed for her family and friends. She was a very gifted athlete and she excelled in many sports. She always opened her home to all who came to visit in the Flats. Her home was the central gathering place. She was well known for her humility and extreme generosity.
Marlene is survived by her beloved husband Rex, her children whom she did everything for, Melvin & Marie (Taylor) & Mason. She also leaves behind her siblings Gwendora (Robert), Liz ( Alvin), Mandel (Monique), Arlene, Joelle, & Woodrow. Her grandchildren Kyera, Kaydra, Kyrie, Kimberlynn, Carson, Teegan, & Diamond. Aunties Christine Red Gun, Rose Red Gun, Daisy Smith, Ruth Scalplock, & Judy Blackhorse. Adopted children Rhondelle Cutter, Dakota Wright, Kaydria Wright, BJ Yellowfly, Cameron Old Woman, Chelsea Black, Treyanne Water Chief, and Charles Bearhat Jr. Marlene has numerous relatives including Poor Eagles, McMasters, Big Crows, Billy Black Family, Medicine Shields, Rabbit Carriers, & Water Chiefs. She was pre deceased by her parents Joe & Marie Olds, Siblings Melvin, Joanna, Brenda, Joseph, Roderick, Weyman, & Darlene. The family apologizes for any relatives we may have missed.
Wake Services to be held @ 1:00 pm on Wednesday August 22, 2018 at the residence of Marlene & Rex. Funeral service to be held @ 1:00 Pm on Thursday August 23, 2018 at St. John Divine Anglican Church & feast to follow at Memorial Arbor.
