It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we are announcing the sudden passing of Our Beloved Kai. Kai was a caring, gentle, humorous, humble, loving, smiling and generous man. Kai was born at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary and passed away in Strathmore, Alberta at the age of 28 years young. Kai attended his Elementary and Junior High School Years at Central Bow Valley in Gleichen. He attended Siksika Nation High School and moved to the City of Calgary and attended Bow Valley College. Kai was employed with Knibb Development Ltd. since 2008 as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Kai had a love for Horses he received his Horsemanship Farrier Training Certificate April 1, 2016, he trained with his Horse named Buck-O. Kai played minor hockey his biggest fans were Dad and Mom. Kai’s passion for music developed at the age of 11 years where he self-taught himself to play drums and guitar. He had a keen ear for music. His Dad always supported his interests and made his dreams come true. It shows as Kai became the Lead Guitarist with his Band called, After the Prophet they travelled to various Venues throughout Alberta to play. Kai’s all-time favorite Hockey Team was the Calgary Flames.
Kai is survived by loving Mom and Dad; Tyrel & Ingrid Pard. His baby sister, Cheyenne, his nephew/little Brother Blaise, and his eldest brother Jesse Frank. His three precious babies who are missing their Daddy; Kairaya, Ozzy and Taylos. His God Daughter Chloe. His adopted Mothers; Rhonda Healy, Misty Bear Chief, and Jaylene Maguire. Grandparents; Clifford and Janis Manyheads, Anthony and June Pard and Mary Steele. Uncle Grant(Marsha) and Uncle Cliff(Kori Jo). Adopted Siblings Jessica and David Bull Bear and Josh Manyheads. Cousins: Destin, Jade, Charnelle, Mackenzie, Talisa, Tatum and Martel. Kai had many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends too numerous to mention. Kai was predeceased by his adopted Brother, Cash Bear Chief – former Drummer; Cousin Marty Steele, Aunties Lillian Steele, Delores Many Heads and others too numerous to mention. Wake Services will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at Gordon Yellow Fly Arbor on the Siksika Nation at 7 p.m. Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Burial Service at Eagle Nests Cemetery. Feast to follow at the Arbor. May Our Kai live on in his Family and Friends Hearts forever. See you later Our Kai!
