ManyBears – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara ManyBears-Iipiiyaki (dancing woman) on Sunday, January 20th 2019 she will be greatly missed by her daughters/son in laws: Angela (Rex) ManyBears, Marion (Rick) BearHat, Lorena McMaster, Hess (Darrin) McMaster, her precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. Her sister Teresa Knowlton, aunties; Cecille ManyGuns, Cecille ManyHeads, and uncle Albert ManyBears. She was predeceased by her husband Chester McMaster, parents; James and Alice ManyBears, her brothers and their wives; Alouyisius/Frances, Julius/Patricia, and Frances/Priscilla ManyBears and brother in law; James Knowlton and many more loved ones…Clara was born and raised in Siksika Nation all her life and was the eldest in her family who proudly carried on the traditional role to many nieces, nephews and their children as her own. She enjoyed spending precious moments with her family sharing hilarious stories that would burst everyone into laughter and tears. She had a kind and caring spirit and loved anyone her soul has touched. She spent her last few years in Sage wood and the family will forever be grateful to the kindness, love and support they’ve shown taking care of her the last year’s of her life… Wake Service will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, January 27 at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour. Funeral Service will be held at the Arbour at 11 AM on Monday.
